Modern Technology School's academic year consists of 30 weeks and 36 quarter credit units. Students who complete this requirement are considered second year students for academic and financial aid progress. Students who complete a minimum of 60 weeks and 72 quarter credit units are considered third year students for academic and financial aid progress. Students earn one quarter credit unit for each 10 hours of lecture, 20 hours of laboratory and 30 hours of internship. For Title IV financial aid purposes, one unit of credit is awarded for every twenty (20) hours of lecture, laboratory, or internship training.
