Get to Class to Get the Most of X Ray Technician Programs

It has been said that 90% of success in life is showing up. That’s certainly true for x ray technician programs. Classes are mostly hands-on practice of skills. You can’t practice if you’re not there. Student must attend 80% of their classes. And they must keep a grade point average of 70%. Keep in mind that if you fail one class module, you have to retake it before continuing. Also note that financial aid doesn’t apply for repeated classes. You will have to pay for it out of pocket. Lastly, remember that you must complete the program within 1.5 times the stated length of the program. The x ray technician course is 44 to 48 weeks in length. So, 1.5 times the program would be 66 to 72 weeks.

Good Attendance Makes a Good X Ray Technician Student

If a student doesn’t finish within the longer timeframe, he or she will be dismissed from the program. Students have to leave the program have to reapply to finish. You should also know that Modern Technology School doesn’t have agreements with other x ray technician programs to give credit for classes taken at MTS. So if you decide to change schools, the new school may not take any of your MTS credits.

This all sounds pretty serious and a bit nerve-wracking. The take-away lesson should be to plan wisely before enrolling at MTS. Read the x ray tech program requirements carefully.  Take a long look at the academic policies, too. A link to the course catalog is on the academic policies page.

Get all the facts about going to MTS. Then make an appointment with the admissions office to take a tour and make an enrollment agreement.
